The Coddington magnifiers stand next to the Hastings Triplet in performance. Correction in these magnifiers is achieved though the use of a single thick lens with a central groove diagram. This provides a sharp, crisp image. Like the Hastings Triplets, the Coddington magnifiers have a swing-away nickel-plated case.
